Disrepect for others

Why is it that some people have no respect, but yet they expect others
to respect them???
When I come across someone that expects respect from me I will give it
until I find out that do not respect me. Respect is something that is
given in the beginning, but it has to be backed up to keep it. I know
alot of people say it has to be earned, but there are some instances
that you have to give it no matter what. I would not go up to my bosses
and just flat out disrepect them even though I did not agree with them
and thought that they were totally wrong. I would not disrepect a co-
worker by lying about them or to them.
Are people really thinking that it is okay to disrespect others. Has
their up bringing changed so much from when I was being raised? When I
was a kid if I disrespected someone my butt would be tore up!! I was
taught that if you give respect that you will earn it. Now days it is
demanded with nothing in return.
How can we continue on the down spriralling of disrespect? Disrespect
is even in the government (I know big shocker!) for the people of
America. I read today and I agree with it, where are the music-a-thons
and fund raisers for our disaster with the oil spill right in our own
country, but yet we raise and give billions to Haiti and other
countries when a disaster happens.
We are teaching our children to disrespect themselves, others and
organizations. They are saying to their kids "you do what you want to
do as long as you can talk your way out of it". I'm sorry, "NO"! When
you respect yourself, others and organizations, you will get it back.
It may not be in the way that you would like it and it may not be from
that person or group, but you will reap it back. It could be that
someone sees you respecting and they start respecting you more.
So for everyone that is reading this I challenge you to be more
respectful of others. Think before you lie about that coworker, think
before you demand respect from others. I believe the main reason for
disrespect is disrepect of yourself. You are trying to hide the fact
that you are not confident in yourself so you just put others down to
try to lift yourself up. If that is you then please get help, we have
enough disrespect going on in this world and we don't need any more.

When something happens and someone finds out about it like say the Anthony Case in Florida. Love

As the song by DC Talk says "Love is a verb". Love is not something that you can just say and not have anything to back it up with, you have to show it also. I remember the first time my husband said he loved me. It was my birthday, the first time he met my family. He gave me a card and in it he wrote " I think I love you". I didn't know what to say. We had just been going out with each other for about a month then. I could not reciprocate by saying that because it was so early. It did not take me long to know that I did in fact, love him. Over almost 4 years of marriage I know that he truly loves me and I him. In the first 6 months of marriage he had to show his love for me that some people will never have to do. Lovely Government!!

So, the government may shut down due to Idiots. I was reading an article and they listed the items on the Republicans bill and I am sorry I agree with it. Most of it was with the Environment, don't they have enough say with what we do with our own land. Also we are talking about not paying our Men and Women of the military just so we can tell some girl or women it is okay to not use protection, you can just abort it. Give me a break!!! If you can shut down the government because there is no money to pay salaries then why did you vote to make it where you don't go without pay and on top of that vote yourself a raise every year. Since you all are not doing your job, come home!! We don't need you acting like you care when you can't agree to disagree and keep things going.
