World meet my Soapbox!!!

I have an issue with people that think they know it all. There are different kinds of those and they are as follows.
Insecure
These are the ones that want everyone to think that they know everything and don't want to ask for help when they really don't know. Also they don't want to take the ideas of others because if they accept those ideas then theirs were not good or right. This type can be dangerous to be around as they will stop at nothing to get what they want even if it means removing the person that has better ideas from the equation.

Over the head talkers
These are the ones that have knowledge and the know how to use it but can't put it in layman's terms. This can be a professor, local geek or just someone that has studied a lot. These people are so smart that when they talk you wish you would have put more hairspray on so that at least your hair would have caught it. Then when you look at them funny or ask them to explain what they said they look at you like you are as stupid as a caveman. I have always thought that to be truly smart is to be able to speak to someone that knows what they are talking about then turn around and say it totally different but mean the same thing to any Joe Blo off the street.

Wants everyone to think they know something but don't.
These are the ones that talk a good talk, but has nothing to back it up with. They like to say "what they have done" even though it is not humanly possible to have been done. These are the ones that waste your time with babbling and are known to lie, frequently. This kind really gets on my nerves

So these are my "pet peeves" if you will of "smart" people. If you are any of these, please think before you come around me. I will be nice but you may end up in one if these post. All I can say about these people is, "Bless'em Lord". :-)

Meddling in others lives

In the age of the Internet and social sites coming out every month there is a lot of meddling going on. Some call it informing and other gossip. When something happens and someone finds out about it like say the Anthony Case in Florida. We can say like Nancy Grace said that we had more evidence than the jurors so she should have been guilty based on that. How do we know that the "evidence" was not lies? How do we truly know what was going on at that time? We worry about one case and have our lives so entwined with it that we fail to see our life. Love

As the song by DC Talk says "Love is a verb". Love is not something that you can just say and not have anything to back it up with, you have to show it also. I remember the first time my husband said he loved me. It was my birthday, the first time he met my family. He gave me a card and in it he wrote " I think I love you". I didn't know what to say. We had just been going out with each other for about a month then. I could not reciprocate by saying that because it was so early. It did not take me long to know that I did in fact, love him. Over almost 4 years of marriage I know that he truly loves me and I him. In the first 6 months of marriage he had to show his love for me that some people will never have to do. Lovely Government!!

So, the government may shut down due to Idiots. I was reading an article and they listed the items on the Republicans bill and I am sorry I agree with it. Most of it was with the Environment, don't they have enough say with what we do with our own land. Also we are talking about not paying our Men and Women of the military just so we can tell some girl or women it is okay to not use protection, you can just abort it. Give me a break!!! If you can shut down the government because there is no money to pay salaries then why did you vote to make it where you don't go without pay and on top of that vote yourself a raise every year. Since you all are not doing your job, come home!! We don't need you acting like you care when you can't agree to disagree and keep things going.
